It is hard to believe this gentle giant has been absent from us for a year, and although the year has passed so quickly, I'm sure for our sweet Juanita and the family that it must seem like an eternity. In church last Sunday, I was reminded of the prayer cards that Milt used to take in his hands and gently nudge me to take one as he took up the offering. This Sunday three years ago was the first Sunday we were back at church after Dan's amputation and when prayer time came, our big teddy bear came and put his arm around Dan and walked him to the altar to have prayer over him. I remember how proud he was of his chickens and the chicken coop and how he and I strolled out to see them and how he shared the yield of the chickens with us. I remember the countless tears he shed when I prayed with him. Oh it has been a year, but as I recount my memories and there are many more, he is really right here with us as his memory stayed and one day we will see that smile and hear that laugh. Love to our Juanita and all the family.

Milton, Juanita and I prayed many times together, but Last Monday afternoon was the last time Dan and I had the honor to pray with Milt. He welcomed it always and Monday was no exception. His hands up over his head, as we prayed. His words began to flow: "Merciful Father, have mercy on me, Almighty Father, have mercy." He never failed to tell us "I love you," and Monday, as we heard those words for the last time on earth, Milt unknowingly penned those words on our hearts, never to be erased....one day we shall hear his voice again, see his welcoming smile and get a big teddy bear hug!

So sorry to hear about him passing away. He was my "boyfriend" at the lake. I had to share him with many others,I was shocked when I found this out, but came to realize he just had that much love to share. Like us,Wanita will have a hole in her life now that will be impossible to fill. You will be sorely missed Milt. P.S. you never took us out for that night fishing trip so I guess we'll have to wait to see ya on the other side!! Have the bait ready, o.k.? Love ya, Rita and Warren

We were broken hearted to hear the news yesterday of Milton going to be with the Lord. We enjoyed the times we were together and fellowshipping with us at our church in Ypsilanti. Milton will be missed but trully in the presence of the Lord. Will be praying for Juanita and rest of the family. We would be there but we now live in Tennessee. Love and prayers to you all.

Milton Poupard was my boyfriend. We loved to tell everybody that. While he was in the hospital his nurse Michelle would ask him who his girlfriend was and he would say "Rhonda". I promise you Milton I won't have anymore boyfriends OK? I know you would be laughing if you could read this. Richard loves you...you made it easy. Think we can fish in heaven? Maybe we will finally catch something!!XOXOXOXO

Aunt Juanita My deepest sympathy. Uncle Milton will be greatly missed. He will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm sure he will be busy catching up with dad (Vince) and mom (Marietta), Sherry, Mimi & Pippi and Uncle Jr. and Aunt Irma playing cards just like the old days. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane I'd walk right up to heaven and bring him home again. Love, Debbie Poupard

Milton you have gone the way we all must go one day, but praise God we know you are with Jesus. We will praise his name because he made a way for us to go to a place where there will be no more goodbyes, no more tears, no more funerals, only hellos, smiles, and mansions!!!Enjoy your Christmas with the Savior. PS Meet us by the river of life buddy.
