Obituary of Alec Robert Harwood

Please share a memory of Alec to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Alec Robert Harwood was born on April 22, 1994 in Dearborn, Michigan. He was one for three children born from the union of Robert Wayne Harwood and Ann Marie (Williams) Harwood. Alec was a loving brother to his older sister Lindsay and twin sister Rebecca. He was a devoted son to Rob and Ann and was known to many as the man they could always count on to lend a hand. Alec lived his life to the fullest and never let a moment he could be with friends and family go to waste. He enjoyed four-wheeling, kayaking, hunting, trips to St. Helen and Mullet Lake, and being surrounded by friends and family. Alec will be remembered as the life of the party and someone who always knew what to say to lighten the mood. He had a kind heart. Alec embedded himself into the Monroe community. He demonstrated this dedication to the community by becoming captain of the MHS swim team, shoveling driveways after snowstorms, and most recently a very dedicated brother of Local 671 where he worked as a welder and pipefitter- a position and brotherhood he was extremely proud to be a part of. Alec will be remembered by his contagious laugh, bubbly personality, and selfless spirit that touched so many hearts. Alec Robert Harwood, age 22, of Monroe died on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from injuries sustained in automobile accident. To cherish his memory, Alec leaves his beloved parents: Robert and Ann Harwood of Bonita Springs, Florida; two sisters: Lindsay Harwood of Detroit, Michigan and Rebecca Harwood of Naples, Florida; grandparents: James and Arlene Williams of Cheboygan, Michigan; aunt and uncles: Scott (Tina) Harwood, Craig (Deborah) Williams, Keith (Teresa) Williams, Amy (Allen) Moczul; and a countless number of loving cousins and devoted friends.
