Danzell Deroch
December 12, 1991 - August 1, 2011
Danzell DeRoch was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 12, 1991. He was the son of Patrick Scott DeRoch and Lori Ann (Jones) DeRoch. He moved to the Monroe County area at the age of 6.
Danzell had a great sense of humor and a smile that could light up the room. His smile was the type that would make everyone else smile. Danzell loved school and the joy of learning, and he had attended the Monroe County Intermediate School District.
Although, Danzell had many challenges in his short earthly life he always seemed to take things in stride. At home he was loved and cared for not only by his family but by a team of home care providers, Molly, Amber, and Andrea. When hospitalized which occurred often, Danzell was a favorite among other patients and was treated like one of their own by the University of Michigan Hospital staff.
Danzell DeRoch age 19 of Maybee passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, August 1, 2011. He had been under the care of Arbor Hospice and Homecare.
Danzell's memory will forever be cherished by his loving parents: Patrick and Lori (Jones) DeRoch of Maybee; four brothers: Jeremy (Leah) Deroch of Newport, Patrick (Natasha) DeRoch of Monroe, Steven DeRoch of Ann Arbor, Darrell DeRoch; five sisters: Monica (Chris) Brubaker of Maryland, Jessica DeRoch of Maybee, LaCoya DeRoch of Maybee, Samantha (Aaron) Atkinson of Newport; and Christina DeRoch of Maybee; also beloved maternal grandfather: Robert Jones; and paternal grandparents: Cinay DeRoch and Gere DeRoch.
Friends may gather from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will take place at 7:00pm also at Merkle's. Cremation will take place at Southern Michigan Services in Livonia, Michigan. His final resting place will be at Our Lady Of Mount Hope in Brownstown Township.
