Chris and I go back to grade school; we grew up in the same neighborhood; he lived on West 8th; I lived on West 5th. We went to Boyd School, Hollywood for 7th and Custer for 8th and 9th grades, then good old MHS. We played at each other houses during grade school years. I recall playground hijinx at the Boyd School. We often walked to and from Boyd School together. I regret that as we got into Junior & Senior High, we ran with different crowds and lost touch.
I recall Chris as a kind and gentle person. He was kind and respectful of people and property. I wish I could recall a specific instance to share, but I'm drawing a blank. I'm still somewhat shocked that he's gone. It's funny, although I haven't seen him in years, I feel as if I lost a good friend. I regret deeply that I didn't know him in his adult years.
I will be praying for peace and comfort for all of you that remain here. God is good, always. His timing doesn't make sense to us, but yet it is perfect. Lean on and trust him, especially now. May God's peace be with you all.

Dear Aunt DeeDee, Uncle John, Beth, Jody and family, My heart is heavy for the sadness and loss that each one of you are feeling today for Chris.I know words don't console anyone at a time like this, but know that the whole family loves you. I am so sorry that Chris had to endure these past months. How blessed you were to be near by for Chris these past several months.I pray that in the tough months ahead that when the day is long, that you can recall one of those last days you spent with Chris and you can recall a conversation or maybe a smile that only you shared with Chris on one of those days and that in some way it makes your day better.I pray that comfort fills your heart and peace will nourish your soul.I wish I could be with you during this time. All my love as always, Lori

Our deepest sympathies to the family. My husband and myself worked with Chris for many years at Ford. I went through tool room training with Chris and he was always helpful and pleasant to work with. I am deeply sorry to hear that he has passed away at such a young age.
