Patsy Kay Cupp, was born in Claiborne County, Tennessee on December 10, 1949 to the union of Charles and Betty (Carpenter) Cupp.

Patsy found true happiness in her marriage to her beloved husband, James Joseph. Together, they created a beautiful life and cherished memories with their daughter: Shannon. Family was at the heart of everything Patsy did, and her love for them was immeasurable.

An avid bingo and Yahtzee player, Patsy enjoyed the company of friends and the thrill of a good game. She had a special bond with her dogs: Cosmo and Milo, who brought her immense joy and companionship. Patsy was also a passionate fisherman, often spending her days by the water, soaking in nature’s beauty.

Music was a significant part of Patsy's life; she found joy in the sounds of Journey, Elvis, the Bee Gees, and a variety of country and gospel tunes. The melodies accompanied her through life, filling her heart with happiness. Patsy had a playful spirit and loved the excitement of scratch-off lottery tickets, indulging in the occasional gamble with a smile.

Patsy Kay Joseph, aged 74, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday; December 5, 2024, at her home.  Her passing was preceded by her parents: Charles and Betty Cupp and her loving husband: James Joseph.

Patsy Kay Joseph will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. To cherish her memory she leaves a loving daughter: Shannon (Alan) Stango; four grandchildren: Robert (Eryn) Brent III, James (Katarina Scrivener) Stango, Ryan Stango, and Makayla (Carson Bussell) Stango, and Great-granddaughter: Alaina Stango.

Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 7:00pm on Wednesday; December 11, 2024, at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185.  A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 7:00pm also at Merkle’s.  Cremation will follow through Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan, a division of Merkle Enterprises, Inc.
