Obituary of Nyeoka Noel Seppala
Nyeoka Noel Seppala was born on December 13, 1986, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She was one of two children born from the union of John and Chris (Farris) Seppala. “Nye-fry” as her family often called her, was a 4-H princess, a scholar with multiple bachelor’s degrees from Central Michigan University and a master’s degree from Adler, as well as a devout Christian. Nyeoka was gainfully employed with Access Community Health as a psychologist and care coordinator.
In life, Nyeoka was a shining star, dedicated to helping others – both in her profession assisting patients at becoming their best selves, as well as in her personal life, making others laugh at her energetic goofing off and witty snark.
She was a mega fan of all things Broadway, especially “Phantom of the Opera”, “R.E.N.T.”, “Spring Awakening”, and “The Newsies.” She collected memorabilia of Betty Boop, Titanic, and Frosty the Snowman (a collection her mother began for her when she was first born), along with an extensive library of books.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Nyeoka Noel Seppala, age 37, originally of Monroe, Michigan, passed away on Monday; October 7, 2024, in Palatine, Illinois.
Nyeoka leaves behind a grieving family; her father: John Seppala (former teacher and security specialist); her mother: Chris Seppala (a teacher for Hamtramck Public Schools); her brother: Travis Seppala (a screenwriter in Los Angeles), and sister-in-law Annette Palmer (a romance author).
