Obituary of Timothy Patrick Dunn

Timothy Patrick Dunn was born on July 12, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio. He was one of three children born to the union of Thomas P. Dunn and Barbara Lou (Swanbeck) Dunn.  Tim attended Jefferson Center in Toledo, Ohio. 

For many years, Tim worked in food service as a waiter at various restaurants.  He was a proud member of the 321 Church in Sylvania, Ohio and a devoted member of the Alcoholics Anonymous group in Toledo, Ohio.

Tim was blessed with four daughters: Theresa, Patricia, Carol, and Carrie.  He loved playing cards with poker being his go to game and challenging his mind with word puzzles.  He enjoyed cooking and was very proud of his recipes for his homemade chili and beef stew.  Tim was an avid sports fan who loved the Detroit Tigers and the Green Bay Packers.

Timothy Patrick Dunn, age 67 of Monroe, Michigan passed away on Sunday; September 8, 2024, at the Medilodge of Monroe under the care of Elara Caring Hospice.  His passing was preceded by his parents: Thomas and Barbara Dunn; a daughter: Theresa Dunn; and his brother: Thomas J. Dunn.

To cherish Tim’s memory, he leaves three daughters: Patricia Huggs of Toledo, Ohio, Carol Dunn of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Carrie Dunn of Kentucky; a sister: Terri (Gary) Poland of Lambertville, Michigan; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

No public services are planned at this time. Tim’s care has been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe, 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. Cremation has taken place through Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan, a division of Merkle Enterprises, Inc.
