Obituary of Eric Mathew Pfeiffer
Eric Mathew Pfeiffer was born in Monroe, Michigan on October 28, 1978. He was the youngest of three children born to the union of David William Pfeiffer and Lynda J. (Amazeen) Pfeiffer. He attended Raisinville School and Monroe High School, graduating in 1997. At an early age, Eric exhibited athletic prowess playing many sports including soccer, baseball, and wrestling.
Eric married the love of his life, the former Lori Lynn Fulkerson on September 5, 2007, at the Monroe County Courthouse. The couple blended their family of her daughter and his daughter and added three more boys together. For many years, Eric worked as a Laborer and Material Handler to support his family being employed by Clean Tech, Tailor Welded Blanks, and most recently by B and D Cold Headed Products in Taylor the past two years.
Eric was a lifelong Monroe County resident. He stayed very active in the lives of his children and was a well-loved, Papa to his grandchildren. Eric was known for his sense of humor and his ability to break the ice with a joke. This whimsical attitude extended to the grandchildren as he often messed with them and wrestled with them, although he was just as likely to take a nap and cuddle with them as well.
He enjoyed coaching wrestling at Ida and taught baseball to anyone willing to listen. He liked being outside every chance he had cutting grass, caring for the ballfields, but especially cruising on his Harley Davidson Sportster. He was an avid bowler participating in the NASCAR league at Monroe Sports Center for many years, where he had earned a 300 game.
