Obituary of David Lee Smith
David Lee Smith was born on November 12, 1966, in Monroe, Michigan. He was born to the union of Edwin C. and Alma M. (Brown) Smith. David attended Monroe High School. For several years he was employed as a truck driver by Benore Logistics.
David loved spending time at the family cabin in Bristol, Michigan located in Lake County near Cadillac. Up North was David’s favorite spot to relax and unwind. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, fishing, four wheeling, jet skiing, boating, and canoeing down the Pine River. He spent many hours relaxing near the campfire listening to the crackling and popping of the firewood. He enjoyed fishing for walleye and perch in Muskegon with his brother-in-law, and visiting his sister in Colorado but appreciated the mountains and warmer climate states of Kentucky and Georgia. Family gatherings were a favorite of David’s, but his most cherished memories were certainly those of the cabin.
David was also a fan of Mopar cars, or any Dodge or Chrysler automobile manufactured between 1964 and 1972.
