Obituary of Ricky Alan Pridemore
Ricky Alan Pridemore was born on October 23, 1958, in Monroe, Michigan. He was the eldest of four children born to James Junior Pridemore and Lola Ruth (Mason) Pridemore. He attended Monroe High School. Following his formal education, Ricky became self-employed as an automotive mechanic. Learning many of his skills from his father, he soon became the go-to person for all mechanical needs for his family and friends.
Ricky spent his days fishing, hunting, drawing, and playing cards and the game “Zonk” never to be caught without one of his signature hats on his head. During the warmer months he loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. A talented musician, Ricky enjoyed playing the guitar and piano, and he loved Blues music. His favorite days were spent doing all the things he enjoyed alongside his siblings.
Ricky had a huge heart for kids, often finding himself surrounded by all the children at family gatherings. When the nieces and nephews were young, Ricky enjoyed sitting on the riverbank with them, making sure to bring along their favorite snacks. Most recently, Ricky spent time visiting his great nieces: Athena, Shay, and Emily. A loving son, father, brother, uncle and friend, he had a big heart, and his loving and strong-willed personality will be dearly missed.
