Obituary of Richard Hiszak
Richard Joseph Hiszak was born on January 3, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio. He was one of six children born to the union of Julius Hiszak and Cornelia (Csizek) Hiszak. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy receiving his Honorable Discharge in 1950.
On August 25, 1951, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Toledo, Ohio Richard married the love of his life, the former, Shirley Gruber and together they were blessed with three wonderful children. Having a very strong faith in God, Richard and Shirley were devout members of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Temperance, Michigan. They loved to travel to warm climates and often made stops in the Caribbean and Mexico. Richard loved his wife Shirley devotedly.
An excellent provider and teacher, Richard worked as an electrician for more than twenty years at Chrysler. A Jack of all Trades, he was knowledgeable about many subjects and inquisitively enjoyed tinkering on and fixing things. If Richard did not know how to fix a problem, he just invented “better” ways to accomplish the task. He attended night school to learn the heating and cooling business.
