Uncle Perry and I were close as kids. Sering that he was only two months older than I. My mom was from John's first wife and Perry's half sister. As grand kids I would spend a week in the summers with Grandpa and Perry Ralph was there sometimes Ralph too. I remember one time Grandpa took Perry and I to the golf course with him. Well when was on the course. Perry snd I decided that the fountain out front would be fun to splash around in on a hot summer day. We both got into serious trouble that day because we embarrassed Grandpa. We were grounded for the rest of the day to our rooms but later we sat together and talked about what fun we had. Perry and I also used to do pretend trips. We were sitting Grandpa's car and say we were going to Virginia which is where the family is from and we would talk about things we would see on the way or people we were going to see. We would sit in there for hours. I do have some fond memories with Perry. We weren't close these the later years but I used to think of him once in a while and remember what a nice man he was. Now that he is gone I will still remember those times fondly.
