Obituary of Evelyn Jean Lawson
Evelyn Jean Sears was born on February 26, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan. She was the only child born to the union of Harold E. Sears and May E. McKillip. Evelyn attended Jefferson High School in Monroe, Michigan.
On March 29, 2013, at the Monroe County Courthouse Evelyn married the love of her life, William Dean Lawson. Together the couple had a blended family of seven children. Evelyn was an avid fan of Elvis Presley whether listening to his music or watching one of his movies. She loved spending time outdoors, basking in the warmth of the sun or riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. Throughout their lives Evelyn and Bill took countless motorcycle adventures, relishing the freedom of the open road and cherishing each other’s company.
Evelyn took the most pride in caring for her family, those she loved, and taking care of her home. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. The joyous sound of her laughter had the power to fill a room, and her radiant smile had the ability to bring light to even the darkest of times. She was especially fond of her canine companions, Miles the Pit-bull, Peanut the chihuahua, and Buddy the Yorkie. For the past three years she had been employed as a prep cook for Pete’s Garage in Monroe, MI
