Where to begin…. Hard shell, thick skin, soft as a teddy bear inside! You loved to ‘image’ your facade as surly and stoic, even prickly at times, but I got the benevolent side of when Pam would leave her phone at home, or it was getting too dark for her to drive (more of the compassionate layer), that undeniably surfaced the love you felt and the Gentle Giant you so sinisterly tried to mask! If I had another moment with you I’d hug you twice as hard as I did the last time I saw you. I’d tell you ‘God gave you 2 hands, I’ll wait’, but something tells me I’d still be waiting for you to put down your cup and use your second hand to hug back! I can not Thank You enough for giving what you did and for being you! For taking a moment to come to the lake last summer (not knowing it would be your last) and for sharing and blending our families! For sending the pictures of the cottage back in April with your ‘descriptive details’ of the angel I was looking at! For allowing us to stop and get all the maters we wanted at the end of season! For your reminders of breakfast at the club and telling us to bring the whole church again! So many moments, but a faucet of tears to list more. Yep ya old fart; you would be pretty upset with this flowing river down here! You hated anyone to fuss and you certainly let us know if emotions came into play!
I love you and I miss you… and I can see your face when I say those words (a man of many compliments yourself… you were not! But I didn't need the words to see what your eyes showed!)! I am blessed more today for having had you in our lives! I had my ‘heart to heart’ with you the morning before you passed… I meant every word of it! And don't think I'm not going to repeat some of it when I see you again! You left a big void with a set of footprints, that amazingly brings the biggest smile, and you wouldn't have it any other way! So thank you, for making me laugh, making me cry, making me smile, blessing me more than words can say!
I got her from here and she & I will walk this new journey together!

Brian was always such a huge help to me/us at RVYC helping with Sunday breakfast, wild game dinner, Perch Derby, and Sunday clean up to name a few. We will all miss him dearly.
