Bob loved his family very much and lit up when he spoke about happy memories with all 3 of his sisters, his parents, and he also spoke of his aunt Glenna often, he told me she was his favorite family member growing up. The were so many layers to Bob and how he appeared to outsiders wasn't who you would find once he let you in, he had a tough exterior but inside he had a big soft easy to hurt heart. When he still lived in Phoenix there was an alley behind where he resided and there were cats out there and he would shoo them away and start going on about how he couldn't stand cats. Few months later while he's having coffee outside and we are having our morning conversation I realized he is not even hearing me talk, then I hear him giggling and saying you are cute little #*@!ers, for weeks I had to compete with those kittens for attention lol and then years later I think he got more attached to the litter of kittens we rescued than I did. He was a faithful, dependable, and protective partner and a reliable hard working man. I'm gonna miss hearing his silly little phrases like "for the eleventeenth hundred time" and his favorite stories/memories of family
friends, coworkers, people who were parts of him and his life, he did cherish those moments. How at the grocery store when the cashier would say" you saved x amount of dollars" he was sure to respond " well like my good friend Jake would say, that's funny I feel like I'm out a 100$ or whatever our total was. He truly did cherish his memories with all those he met along all his 66 years. I already miss him so much and will all my remaining days but I am truly thankful he is no longer struggling and in pain and I find comfort in how peacefully he passed. My heart is with all 3 of his sisters and everyone else who loved him it is a great loss

Even though we were many years apart I found out that we liked the same music and had the love of baseball. I remember Bob 'beamed' you could hear it in his voice when he told me how he met Joe DiMaggio. It's sad that we couldn't have continued to share that live of the game.
