Steven Mark Laboe Sr. was born on August 29, 1961, in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of six children born to the union of Robert Louis Laboe, Sr. and Theresa June (Engel) Laboe. He attended Jefferson High School in Monroe, Michigan.
Steven loved spending time in his garden tending to his rose bushes and tomato plants. He enjoyed working on cars and fixing anything that needed repaired. Known as a “Jack of All Trades”, he was always tinkering with something. Steven was a very loving and kind person who loved to laugh and tell jokes. He truly enjoyed helping others from being the main caregiver to his own parents to helping his neighbors with their yard work. No matter what it was Steven was the one person everyone could depend on.
Steven was blessed with three children and despite difficult circumstances did the best he could to raise them. His love for his children and grandchildren was pure and he also treasured the friendships he maintained for more than thirty years.
