Obituary of Marilee Daniels
Marilee McKnight was born on May 18, 1942, in Toledo, Ohio. She grew up in a house with six other siblings. She attended classes and graduated with the class of 1960, from Burnam High School in Sylvania, Ohio.
Marilee's life took a new direction when she joined the United States Army. It was during her time in the service that she crossed paths with her soulmate, Earl Daniels, who was also serving his country. The couple entered wedded bliss on August 22, 1964, and together, they built a beautiful life centered around love, commitment, and family. After helping Earl go through college she embraced her role as a stay-at-home mom, finding joy in nurturing her daughter and creating a loving home for their family.
One of Marilee's passions was collecting interesting rocks and beautiful stones from rock shows. Another was sewing. Her hands were always busy, creating beautiful blankets, cozy sweaters, and plush pillows, which she lovingly gave as gifts to her close friends and adoring family.
Every spring, Marilee's green thumb shone brightly as she planted a vibrant flower garden. She found solace and beauty in nature, and her garden became her personal sanctuary. It was a place where she could recharge her spirit and appreciate the wonders of the natural world.
Marilee's love for all creatures was evident in her interactions with animals. Whether it was feeding the neighborhood birds, or simply marveling at wildlife in her surroundings, she had a deep connection to the animal kingdom. Her compassion and empathy towards these creatures were truly unmatched.
In addition to her domestic pursuits, Marilee possessed a remarkable talent for playing the organ, she could play some popular tunes like “Stay” by Rihanna. The melodies that flowed from her fingertips were enchanting, filling the hearts of all who heard them.
