Obituary of Victoria Lynne Allison
Victoria Lynne Burdett was born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1962. She was one of eight children born to Elizabeth (Butler) Reynolds and raised by her father, Herbert Reynolds. Vickie grew up in Woburn, Massachusetts where she graduated from Woburn High School.
Vickie was employed as a data entry clerk at the Internal Revenue Service for more than a decade while working at the Head Start Program in Woburn. After relocating to Michigan, Vickie became a nurse’s aide at the Medilodge in Taylor and Brownstown Forestview. After many years of dedication, she became the Director of Brownstown Forestview Assisted Living before taking a medical retirement in 2018.
A proud mother of a son and two daughters, Vickie always worked hard to ensure her family was cared for. When her children were young, she routinely held down three jobs, all while creating enriching experiences for her kids. Vickie somehow found the time to make every summer break special by taking her children out of the city environment they lived in and immersing them in the peaceful, natural surroundings of an RV park where they swam, watched fireworks, and ran free.
On July 21, 2013, she wed the love of her life, Bobby Allison, at The Grecian Center in Southgate, Michigan. The couple bonded over shared games of online poker and courted for nearly thirteen years before finally tying the knot. Vickie absolutely adored her grandchildren and spent time with them crafting and baking cookies. She never missed one of their summertime half-birthday celebrations!
Vickie was a movie buff whose favorite film was the 1939 classic, “The Wizard of Oz”. She also enjoyed watching games shows, especially former host Bob Barker on “The Price is Right”. A collector of Princess House crystal, she had dozens of figurines and especially cherished her angels. The nicest person you’d ever have the fortune to meet, Vickie would give anything to help someone in need. A devout Christian, she was an active member of One Way Christian Fellowship in Monroe. Vickie routinely volunteered at the church’s food pantry and attended the Women’s Bible Study group.
