Gramps loved fishing!!! It had been quite some time since he had fished...so a few summers ago, I decided we needed to take gramps fishing. Marc (Lemle) and I (Deana Gormley) drove our boat from Bolles Harbor docks in Monroe over to the Docks in Luna Pier. Grams drove gramps down to the docks in her car. It was quite some work getting gramps in and out of the boat, but the look in his eyes.....they were wide open and he was so excited, nothing could have stopped him that day! The weather wasnt the greatest for fishing that day but who cared?!?we were taking GRAMPS fishing! :-) He caught three fish that day! You would have thought he found gold! The excitement in his voice when he was reeling them in and saying "I caught one" and "I caught another" "Oh boy...look at that, isnt that a beauty?" and so on.... We had planed on taking gramps a few more times, but we never did :-) Time just seemed to slip away! Heres to you GRAMPS!!!! You will aways be 'with us' on our boat out in Lake Erie fishing!
