Arnold was a member of St. Joseph Church and attended their school and the Scofield School. Arnold was best known by his nickname "Mick". On June 16, 1974 he married Lois Cuykendall in Monroe at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Mick began work for the Maybee stone quarry now Stoneco in 1972. He was a member of the Operators and Engineers Local 324. Mick enjoyed running heavy machinery including driving truck and operating the stone crusher. In the mid 90's he took a medical retirement. Mick was a family man first and foremost. He had knack for gardening and growing fine vegetables; which he usually gave to neighbors. He frequented the CB-radio under the name of "Blackbeard", and enjoyed watching wrestling. Mick was blessed with a large family including siblings: Oscar (Linda) Bruck Jr. of Northern Michigan, Charles (Rosemary) Bruck of Carleton, Fred (Margie) Bruck of Northern Michigan, Ronald Bruck of Michigan, Helena Shanteau of Petersburg, and Rose Bruck of Maybee.
