Obituary of Kelly Polger

Please share a memory of Kelly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kelly Sue Armitage was born on August 28, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the daughter of Stanley Jenkins and Roberta Armitage. Kelly married the love of her life, Joseph Polger on November 8, 1986 in Taylor, Michigan. From this union would come the birth of two children: Jason and Meranda. For more than eighteen years, Kelly helped to support her family as a Sales Representative for Sears Roebuck and Company. She was an extremely hard worker who looked forward to an occasional vacation. Kelly had a heart of gold and she was generous to a fault. She had a smile that could warm the room, and a personality that pulled others in. Kelly was exceptionally fond and loyal to her family. She relished the time that she shared with them, and was particularly fond of her granddaughter: Alice. She was loving, caring, and selfless in so many ways. Others knew they could turn to Kelly for support, and she would always put their needs ahead of her own. Kelly Sue Polger, age 47 of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Mercy Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Her passing was preceded by her father and a sister: Terri Ann. To cherish her memory, Kelly leaves her beloved husband of twenty-seven years: Joseph Polger of Monroe; her son: Jason (Amanda) Polger of Newport; her daughter: Meranda Polger of Monroe; her mother: Roberta Borawski of Melvindale; five brothers: Dave (Karna) Morrow, Dan (Betsy) Ball, Tony Armitage, Mark (Denise) Borawski, and Stanley Jenkins; four sisters: Darcy Zook, Kimberly Barnhart, Carman (George) Hatfield, and Cathy Smith; and a granddaughter: Alice. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185.
