Everett Michael Workman was born in Trenton on May 14, 1955. He was one of seven children born from the union of the late Fred Workman and Margaret Butcher. Chuck married the love of his life, the former Marsha Hughes on May 13, 1983 in Monroe. Together they raised two children. Chuck supported his family as a Press Operator for JCIM retiring in 2013. He was a member of the Local 12 UAW of Toledo, 723 UAW of Monroe and a member of the Monroe Goodtime Cruisers. Chuck loved his Dodge Charger Special Edition. He spent many, many hours working on cars, both life size and models. In his recent past, he took on woodworking. Chuck was certainly a man who loved his toys. He was affectionately known at the "Mo-Par" man. Chuck was a very mild-mannered man. He loved people and would do anything for anyone in need. Chuck was a hard worker and good provider for his family. A true inspiration to his daughters, he was always there for them whenever he was needed. Everett Michael Workman, age 58 of Monroe, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. In addition to his father, his passing was preceded by a brother: Joe Workman To cherish his memory, Chuck leaves his beloved wife of nearly thirty-one years: Marsha; two daughters: Emily Workman of Monroe and Lyndee Workman of Toledo; his mother: Margaret Workman of Niles, Ohio; two sisters: Veronica (Mike) Zacharias of Monroe and Deb (Dave) Francis of Niles, Ohio; four brothers: Fred (Liz) Workman of Fowlerville, Ed (Sue) Workman, Tim (Lola) Workman both of Monroe and Dan Workman of Deerfield; two grandchildren: Logan Michael and Richard James Everett Winter. Friends may gather from 3:00-7:00pm on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Merkle Funeral Service; 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will take place at 7:00pm on Monday, April 28, 2014 also at Merkle's with Sally Martin officiating.
