Obituary of Darin Lipkowski

Darin Thomas Lipkowski was born in Livonia, Michigan on October 11, 1995. He was one of two children born from the union of Daniel Lipkowski and Stacie (Thomas) Lipkowski. Darin attended Monroe Schools where he currently was senior at Monroe High School. He was well loved by all who knew him. Darin was a pure red neck at heart. He loved the country life and lived each day to the fullest. He was particularly fond of his 4x4 truck "Big Girl". His fun loving carefree attitude made him a pleasure to be around. He had a host of friends that he liked to hang with. Darin loved the outdoors and for several years he worked as a groundskeeper. He truly enjoyed all the activities that came along with being at one with Mother Nature. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and loved to snowmobile. He also liked hunting and fishing. Family was always important to Darin. Several years ago he shot his first deer accompanied by his grandfather. He received so much enjoyment spending time at the Hillsdale Farm. Darin was a loving brother to his sister: Elizabeth always looking out for her. He cherished the love of his girlfriend Samantha Morlan as well. Darin Thomas Lipkowski age 18 of Maybee passed from this life from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident on Friday, April 18, 2014. His passing was preceded by an aunt: Shirley Smith and his grandfather: Terry Thomas. To cherish his memory he leaves his parents: Daniel and Stacie Lipkowski of Maybee; paternal grandparents: Thomas and Violet Lipkowski of Hillsdale; maternal grandmother: Patricia Thomas; sister: Elizabeth Lipkowski of Maybee; aunts and uncles: Tracie Nutt (David Middleton) of Belleville, Terrie Thomas of Maybee, Karen Kudzek, Joanna (Dan) Thompson of Clinton, and Jeff Lipkowski of Hillsdale; his significant other: Samantha Morlan; and several cousins. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 where the Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm. A Celebration of His Life will take place at 11:00am, Wednesday, April 23, 2014 also at Merkle's. Procession will follow to Northside Cemetery in Maybee for burial.
