Obituary of Edith Paul
Please share a memory of Edith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edith Joann Clawson was born on November 30, 1959 in Monroe, Michigan. She was born from the union of the late P.J. Clawson and the late Alda (Edwards) Clawson. Jody graduated from Monroe High School in June of 1977. She married the love of her life, James Paul on April 21, 1978 at Grape Missionary Baptist Church. Together they raised three daughters.
Jody attended LaSalle Missionary Baptist Church and has been a dedicated member there for over thirty-five years. There she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School each summer. Faith was very important to Jody and she received much joy sharing her faith with others.
As Jody stayed home to raise her children, she blessed others by providing babysitting services at her residence. After the children had grown, she helped support her family as a cashier at Walmart for more than ten years.
Jody was a very kind and loving person, always having nice words to say about everyone she met. Jody relished the time that she shared with her family, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Edith "Jody" Joann Paul, age 54 of Monroe, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at home under the care of Heartland Home Hospice. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Brenda Pridemore.
