Please share a memory of Earl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Earl Edward Farr was born in Detroit on April 26, 1937. He was the son of the late Edward Farr and Rosina (Nellet) Winkle. Earl honorably served his country in the United States Army and received multiple honors including Good Conduct Medal, 1st Class Gunner (90mm), Expert Badge (Sub Machine Gun), and Marksman Badge (Pistol).
Earl worked for thirty-five years at Chrysler. He was an automotive manufacturing assembler at the Warren Truck Plant. Earl retired in 1994. He married the love of his life, the former Margaret Kazensky, on November 9, 1988 in Dearborn.
Earl was a quiet man. He enjoyed several hobbies including collecting Hot Wheels cars, model muscle cars, and model trains. For many years, Earl enjoyed his train track set up in his basement. He loved going to flea markets, model train swap meets, car shows, and train shows. After retirement Earl enjoyed watching television, but more than anything having long chats with the grand kids. He loved to eat, enjoying root beer floats and often getting his favorite food from the pizza buffet at American Pie.
In 2001, Earl gave his heart to the Lord and became a born again Christian. He and his wife Margaret had been receiving their spiritual nourishment by attending Grace Baptist Church in Monroe.
