Obituary of Rebecca Thomas

THOMAS, Rebecca Frances - Monroe, MI resident and Warren County native Rebecca Frances Thomas, age 81, was born September 30, 1930 and died December 4, 2011 at Fountain View Manor in Monroe, MI following a short illness. A homemaker and member of the Cork Church of Christ in Plant City, FL (former member of Arlington Church of Christ), she was the daughter of the late John W. and Dora Elizabeth Pennington Dixon. She was married to Harold Malen Thomas who preceded her in death January 28, 2002. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Savage. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jimmy Vickers of Monroe, MI; three grandchildren, Jason Vickers and Kristen Vickers both of Michigan and Justin Savage of Lavergne, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 in High's Chapel with Charles Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in the Grange Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 11:00 a.m. until time of service Friday at High's. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, P.O.
