Obituary of Brock Durbin

Please share a memory of Brock to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mack Joseph Durbin Brock John Durbin January 25, 2014 Mack Joseph Durbin was born into this world at 10:54am on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Toledo Hospital. He was followed closely behind by the birth of his younger brother at 1:45pm, Brock John Durbin. The beautiful twin boys, a gift from Heaven, were born from the union of Christine (Nash) Durbin and Jeremy Durbin Sr. Christine and Jeremy had been looking forward to the gift of their boys. They had been through many challenges before receiving the joyous news of Christine's pregnancy twenty-one weeks ago. The boys were extremely active in utero and tried to not give their parents the blessing of a good ultrasound view. On the positive side, Christine found that she had a new excuse to eat pizza often since the boys responded well to that as her dinner choice. The boys most certainly had their work cut out for them since they had two much older brothers: Jeremy Jr. and Corey both excellent athletes looking forward to rough housing with them. Mack and Brock never had the chance to meet on this side of the womb. Mack passed from this life into the arms of Jesus at 11:15am, and Brock passed away at 3:00pm. Although their earthly lives were short the joy they brought and the lives they touched were immense. To cherish their memory, the twins leave their doting parents: Jeremy and Christine Durbin of Maumee; two big brothers: Jeremy Jr. Durbin and Corey both of Fremont, Ohio; maternal grandparents: Joseph and Elizabeth Nash of Monroe, paternal grandparents: Debra and Michael Matthes of Fremont, and William Durbin and his significant other Rebecca Goehring of Oak Harbor; several aunts and uncles: Marie and Shane Mantueffel of Toledo, Jacqueline Nash and David Cowdrey of Erie who also served as Godparents, Joseph and Rachael Nash of Monroe, Shane Durbin, Hollie Durbin, and Amy and Ron Mayer all of Fremont. Friends may gather on Friday, January 31, 2014 for a 12:00pm graveside service at St. Joseph Cemetery in Maybee, Michigan. Deacon Ken Trabbic of St. Stephens Catholic Church in New Boston will officiate. A luncheon will follow for all of those in attendance at the London, Maybee, Raisinville Fire Department; 8755 Baldwin Road, Monroe, Michigan 48162. Memorials for those who desire are suggested to the family. Online guests may leave words of inspiration and comfort by visiting www.merklefs.com and then selecting the Online Tributes page.
