Obituary of Lloyd West
Please share a memory of Lloyd to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lloyd James West was born in Tazewell, Tennessee on June 9, 1932. He was one of five children born from the union of the late James West and the late Linnie Mae Essary. Lloyd honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married his true love, and bride of sixty years, the former Frances Alice Hale.
For thirty-five years, Lloyd supported his family as a repairman for Sears Robuck and Company. He was the consummate handy man able to fix just about anything. Lloyd was a very giving man and would often give to many charities in need. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. His response to I love you was always "I love you more!" When Lloyd was able to, he loved to spend his time at garage sales and auctions. He also loved to go to the casino. In his younger days he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Lloyd James West, age 82 of Monroe, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.
