Rosemary McMullen was born in Monroe, Michigan on October 5, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Everett McMullen and the late Viola (LaVigne) McMullen.
Rosemary married the love of her life, Sillis Amen Wilson Sr. on May 18, 1957 in Monroe. From this union would come the birth of seven children. Rosemary took on the responsibility of caring for her family as a homemaker. She was known to be a great mother and loving grandmother. Rosemary loved surrounding herself with family and friends and enjoyed hosting family get-togethers and cookouts every Sunday. A woman of faith, Rosemary was very kind-hearted, easy going and she was always forgiving.
Rosemary (McMullen) Wilson, age 73 of Monroe, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by her loving husband: Sillis Wilson Sr.; a daughter: Penny Lane Wilson; a son: Sillis Amen Wilson Jr.; a great-granddaughter: Gracie Faith Wilson; a step-grandson: Lil' Leo Steinman; a brother: James (Mike) McMullen; and three sisters: Carol Clark, Shirley DuVall Mcbee, and Betty Bomia; a son-in-law: Leo Steinman.
To cherish her memory, Rosemary leaves behind a daughter: Sandy Steinman; five sons: Bobby (JudY) Wilson, Charlie (Cindy) Wilson, Ricky (Michele) Wilson, Kevin (Amy) Wilson, and Roger Wilson; a sister: Bertha Miller; three brothers: Morris McMullen, William "Billy" McMullen, and Charles "Tate" McMullen; twenty grandchildren: Lil' Charlie, Tim, Paul, Lil' Ricky, Shaun, Heather, Amber, Lil' Bobby, Melissa, Lil' Kevin, Brian, Michael, Dustin, Brianna, Chad, Lil' Roger, Jacob, Tim, Adam, and Regina; Seventeen great-grandchildren: Hannah Jasmine, Kaylee, Noah, Chloe, Ava, Lacy, Clayton, Tyler, Anna, Aubrey, Rosetta, Dylan, Lil' Kevin, Lil' Brian, McKayla, and Kayleeann.
Friends may gather from 3:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 6, 2013 also at Merkle's. Pastor Delmar Moore of Grace Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park for burial.
