Obituary of Patrick Mayville
Please share a memory of Patrick to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Patrick Louis Mayville was born on January 16, 1959 in Wyandotte, Michigan. He was the youngest of two sons born from the union of the late Felix Louis Mayville and Dixie (Miller) Mayville Coda. Patrick was a 1977 graduate of Trenton High School.
He was an avid outdoorsman, participating and placing in numerous Archery tournaments, to hone his skills as a deer hunter. Patrick led a quiet, simple life, and although he could be quite hard-headed; he always had ambition for serving others and a ton of heart while doing it. He was generous with his time and skills.
Patrick often worked in construction as a laborer. A "Jack of All Trades", he enjoyed fixing cars for friends, construction projects, or cooking for large amounts of people; especially assisting with the Newport VFW Friday night Fish Fry's. Patrick always used his intelligence to benefit those around him. He was gifted with a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing karaoke. When he did have free time he loved to spend it on the greens getting in a few rounds of golf.
Patrick, age 54, of Monroe passed away unexpectedly in Livingston County on Monday, November 18, 2013 . In addition to his father, Felix who passed away in 1999, Patrick's passing was preceded by grandparents: Holden "Doc" (Belle) Mayville and Charlie (Nellie) Miller; an aunt: Margaret (David) Ashe; "The Aunts" whom he cared for: Mary, Lenora, and Patricia Mayville; an uncle: Holden "Junior" Mayville; and a special friend: Sid Adkins.
