Obituary of Kathryn Miller
Please share a memory of Kathryn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kathryn "Kathy" Ann Miller was born in Glendale, California on August 27, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Leonard Miller and Elizabeth (Coombs) Miller Moline.
For more than thirty years, Kathy worked in advertising. While living in California she worked for George Rice and Sons among other employers. She specialized in print brochures and posters working for many Fortune 500 companies. She had owned her own company, My-Bindry while in California. In the early, 2000's, Kathy partnered with her sister, Gloria as owners and operators of The Girl's Cookie Shoppe in Monroe for five years.
Kathy had a passion for gardening and flowers. This passion led her to become an advanced master gardener. She had an amazing green thumb tending to her perennials; raising beautiful roses, cosmos, black-eyed daisies, petunias, and vegetables.
Kathy loved animals of all types especially birds and currently was the mother to three cats. Recently, due to her interest in genealogy she had begun researching her roots. Kathy could be matter of fact, but always friendly, outgoing and extremely likeable.
When it came to her work she was very organized and always the coordinator, but her home sometimes seemed to be just the opposite.
Kathryn "Kathy" Ann Miller, age 66 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at her home. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by five stillborn children.
To cherish her memory, Kathy leaves behind a beloved sister: Gloria Hardzieg of Monroe; a brother: David (Donna) Miller of Albuquerque, New Mexico; six nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
