Christopher Thomas Eastes was born on October 21, 1974 in Monroe, Michigan. He was the son of Diana (Eastes) Bomia. Christopher attended Monroe High School later earning his GED. He would continue his education at Monroe County Community College completing many classes.
For many years he was employed in the Food Service Industry. Chris held many management positions over the years the last being with his Subway.
Christopher cherished life. He was the most loyal, best friend a person could have. He was an extremely trusting individual almost to a fault. He inherently believed in the good of others and was generous to the point of giving his shirt off his back to a stranger.
Chris adored all animals. If he had been able he would have taken in every stray that he met over the years. Christopher had an appreciation for the arts. He was a connoisseur of music, movies, and fine art.
Christopher Thomas Eastes, age 38 of Monroe, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Magnumcare of Monroe. He had been in declining health for more than eight months and under the care of Mercy Memorial Hospice. His passing was preceded by his grandparents: Maude Eastes and Lessie Thomas; an uncle: James T. Eastes; and two very special companions, his dogs: Allie and Chang.
To cherish his memory, Christopher leaves his mother: Diana Bomia of Monroe; a sister: Amber Bomia (Matt VanNatta)of Kalamazoo; four brothers: Justin (Bin) Bomia of Monroe, Joshua (Mandy) Bomia of Monroe, Les (Michelle) Bomia of Korea, and Corey (Elizabeth) Bomia of Monroe; three maternal aunts: Barbara Godwin, Patricia Bashaw, and Jacqueline Corpuz; two uncles: John Thomas and Carlos (Sally) Eastes; aunt Terry Eastes; and five nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Friends and family may gather from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Memorial Service will take place at 6:00pm also at Merkle's.
