Obituary of Todd La Prad

Todd Alan LaPrad was born in Monroe, Michigan on July 11, 1973. He was the youngest of three boys born from the union of David Leon LaPrad and Vicki Kathryn (Curson) LaPrad. The family attended St. John the Baptist Church. Todd attended school in Monroe and Monroe High School. For more than fifteen years, Todd was employed in the family business serving as a driver for Townsite Sanitation. He loved spending time outdoors and especially enjoyed Summers at the lake. Visiting the family cottage at Lake Posey was a favorite pastime and fishing and jet-skiing were two of his favorite activities. Todd was a proud father to his daughter: Elizabeth. He cherished the time that he was able to spend with her and he enjoyed watching her as a cheerleader for Bedford High School. Todd Alan LaPrad age 40 of Monroe passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, October 12, 2013. His passing was preceded by his maternal grandparents: Kathryn and Thomas Curson and paternal grandparents: Clinton and Ardith LaPrad. To cherish his memory he leaves his parents: David and Vicki LaPrad of Monroe; a daughter: Elizabeth LaPrad of Lambertville; and two brothers: Steven LaPrad of Fuquay - Varina, North Carolina and Scott (Stephanie) LaPrad of Monroe. Cremation has taken place through Southern Michigan Services in Livonia, Michigan. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 7:30pm, Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe; 14567 South Dixie Highway (734) 241-7070 (formerly Bennett Funeral Services). A funeral service will follow at 7:30pm with Father James Smalarz pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials for those who desire are encouraged to Elizabeth LaPrad for her education fund.
