Obituary of Andrea Epps

Andrea Elizabeth Epps was born in Monroe, Michigan on January 28, 1981. She was the daughter of Richard and Clara Allen of Monroe, and Arthur Overstreet, of Detroit. Andrea obtained her GED while living in Dayton, Ohio. Andrea was an active member of Oaks of Righteousness Christian Ministries. She loved to participate in church activities and was a member of their Praise Team. Andrea loved to laugh a lot and was known to be the life of the party. She enjoyed dancing and singing. Andrea adored her family and spent as much time with them as she could, especially her nieces and nephews, who were very special to her. She enjoyed reading, playing on Facebook, and going out to dinner with her 'besties'. Andrea was deeply loved by all that knew her. She had a warm, beautiful smile that could light up any room. Her outer beauty could only be surpassed by that of her inner beauty. Andrea Elizabeth Epps, age 32, of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Her passing was preceded by a maternal grandmother: Elizabeth Jane Epps and a maternal grandfather, James E. Robinson. To cherish her memory, she leaves her loving mother and step-father, Clara (Richard) Allen of Monroe; her father Arthur Overstreet, of Detroit; two sisters: Mary-Lyn Allen, of Toledo, OH., and Jaime Allen, of Monroe; four brothers: Erick Allen of Adrian; Bryan Allen, of Monroe, Michael Overstreet, of Wayne, MI; and Darnell Overstreet, of Romulus; a son: Zyshonne Horton-Epps; a daughter: Zaniya Epps, both of Monroe, MI; and her boyfriend, Robert Hurse, of Detroit, MI; and a host of nieces and nephews, close friends and other family members. Friends may gather from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Oaks of Righteousness Christian Ministries, 1018 E. Second Street, Monroe, MI. A homegoing celebration of her life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Heather Boone, officiating. Cremation will take place through Southern Michigan Services in Livonia, MI.
