Obituary of DiAnna Mata

July 3, 1944 - September 20, 2013 Dianna Marie Mata was born in Monroe, Michigan on July 3, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Missler and the late Marie (Bomia) Wise. Dianna attended Monroe Schools and received her GED from Jefferson High School. Dianna was quick witted with a keen sense of humor who knew how to enjoy life. She was always very outgoing and kept active doing the things she loved most. Dianna appreciated the countryside as she traveled the United States and enjoyed the relaxation of cruising the seashores of the Caribbean and Barbados. Returning home was never a problem, for she adored her home and acreage that was in her family for many years. Dianna's mother was her best friend throughout her life and she loved her very dearly. Often she took pleasure in fine dining with her acquaintances. Dianna Marie Mata, age 69 of LaSalle, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013 at Mercy Memorial Hospital after suffering poor health for the past couple years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a daughter: Leilani Provencher; and a grandson: Brandon Varner. To cherish her memory, Dianna leaves behind her companion of over 23 years: Ken West of Temperance; a step-father: Robert Wise of Toledo; a daughter: Mary (Joe) Conte of Newport; a son: Ron (Jennifer) Mata of Temperance; a brother: Ron (Betty) Missler of LaSalle; ten grandchildren: Bailey, Emily, Andrew, Lindsey, Zachary, Holly, Anthony, Jennifer (Kyle) Reed, and Christina (Chad) LeBrun; and seven great-grandchild: Shiloh, Alivia, Kaylee, Drew, Isabella, Sophia and Geno. Cremation has taken place through Southern Michigan Services in Livonia, Michigan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185.
