Debbie, I'm so sorry hearing of Leo's passing. He was my buddy and I enjoyed him very much. He would bring me popcorn every Friday when he lived at Kinghaven. He loved to joke, but sometimes I would get the best of him, and he would say, I'm leaving. Julie & I went to see him about two months ago. We were glad to see him and he was glad to see us. He will be missed. Your family is in my prayers.

Leo Kern was married to my Mom's best friend. In the summer we would drive over from Kalamazoo to Lincoln Park and camp-out at the Kern's and go to Tiger Stadium for a Saturday game. Leo was an usher and got to watch all the games for free. Those weekends are among my best memories of growing-up.

I have known Leo Kern since 1964. What a great guy he was and so handsome too. Loved his dry sense of humor. I remember when Mr Kern was an usher at Tiger stadium and at Cobo Hall when Deb and I were in high school. We got to see the Pistons play basketball and also we had great seats to see Hermans Hermits which was the very first concert I ever went to. Thank you Mr. Kern. I will miss you.

Leo lived with us at Kinghaven for some time and I have to say that he was a joy to have around. A great man and he will be missed. Prayers to the family.
