Erwin (Pete) Toburen, age 86, of Dundee passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015, at his home under the care of his family and hospice. He was born February 24, 1929 at Summerfield Township the son of Elmer and Tillie (Struble) Toburen. He married Marcia Iott April 24, 1946 at Monroe, Michigan. They celebrated 68 years of marriage. He was a milkman for 28 years for the Dundee Dairy, Twin Pines and had also retired from Uniloy in 1991. His hobbies included golf, softball, farming and spending time with his family, children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His survivors include his wife Marcia; children Roxanne (the late Dorn) Myers of Petersburg, Christine (Les) Paull of Sykesville, Maryland, Jeffery (Patty) Toburen of Brooklyn; grandchildren: Jennifer Toburen, Kristin (Jon) Block, Tina (Ben) Mulusky, Michael (Beth) Paull, Roxanne (Bill) Rines, Shelly Krueger, Beth (Tom) Collins, Jens Myers and Kim Myers; great-grandchildren Skyler Krueger, Noah Krueger, Caleb Krueger, Cameron Krueger, Emerson Paull, Harper Paull, Felix Block, Zachary Rines, Seth Collins and Zac Collins; his sister Lila Sortor of Dundee. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Charles, Frederick, Clyde, James and Alice Rehberg. Friends may call Sunday from 2:30 – 8 P.M. at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156 /888-383-4176). He will lie in state at St. John Lutheran Church in Dundee from 10 AM until services at 11 AM on Monday, March 23, 2015. Following funeral services, cremains interment will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery in Summerfield Township.
