Alice May Stanley was born on April 1, 1942 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Mary Jane (Schroeder) Stanley and the late John Denver Stanley.
Alice married the love of her life Wilbur Augustus Raymond on December 16, 1957. From this union they would have three children.
Alice had a strong Christian faith and shared her love with others as a Sunday School Teacher. She attended Free Will Baptist Church in Wayne, Michigan for many years.
Alice made her home with her son, Gordon and they loved spending time on their ten acres in Gaylord. She loved spending time outdoors, and together they would enjoy their time by hiking, camping, and fishing.
Alice age 71 of Newport passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at her home. To cherish her memory Alice leaves her son: Wibur Michael Raymond of Arlington, Texas; a brother: John (Carlene) Stanley, and a sister: Patty (Paul); and three grandchildren: Katrina Raymond and Justen Raymond both of Michigan, and David Raymond of Arlington Texas.
Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe; 14567 South Dixie Highway, Monroe Michigan (734) 241-7070. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 also at Merkle's. The Reverend Kenneth Spain, Associate Pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Procession will follow to Michigan Memorial Park in Huron Township for burial.
