Eleanor (Fisher) Albers, 97, of Traverse City formerly of Dundee passed away peacefully on Sept. 15, 2014. Eleanor was born in Highland Park, MI., on Feb. 27, 1917 to her parents, the late Forest and Irma (Baker) Tefft.
Eleanor lived in Dundee, MI., St. Ignace, and DeTour Village, MI., before moving to Traverse City in 1997. She and Royal owned the Fisher Funeral Home in Dundee from 1943 until his death in 1961.
Eleanor is survived by her two sons, Jeffery H. Blackburn of Charlotte, MI., and R. Gregory (Donna Folgarelli-Fisher) Fisher of Traverse City; sister, Marjorie Powers of Traverse City.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Royal Fisher ; and son, David L. Blackburn in 2013. Arrangements by Reynolds-Johnkoff Funeral Home- Graverse City.
Cremains interment will take place at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee, MI.
