Luella Jane Keinath, age 85, a lifetime resident of Dundee passed away at her home on Saturday, May 17, 2014. She was born in Samaria, Michigan October 5, 1928 the daughter of Frank J. and Clara (Trutt) Labun. She married Robert H. Keinath September 8, 1951 at the rectory at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ida. She was a graduate of Dundee High School in 1946. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 2001. After graduation she went to work for the Ford Motor Company and Edwards Brothers in Ann Arbor. She is a member of St. Gabriel Parish in Dundee; a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the American Legion Post 72 in Dundee; attended all her children’s and grandchildren school and sporting events; loved animals; was a bowler; liked to fish;loved gardening, camping and going up north on vacations. She also loved to cook but especially valued time with her family. Survived by her husband Bob; children Kevin Keinath of Jackson, Kathy Keinath (James Michael) of Chelsea and John (Lori) Keinath of Dundee; 6 grandchildren, Keri, Samuel, Joseph, Hazen, Hannah and Hadley; sisters Elizabeth Norman of Dundee, Jeanette Valentine of Ann Arbor and Judith Labun of Brighton. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Marie Peters and brothers Donald Labun and Frank Labun Jr. Friends may call on Tuesday from 1 – 8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156 888-383-4176). She will lie in state on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at from 10:30 AM until Mass of the Resurrection at 11 AM at St. Gabriel Parish of Dundee, St. Irene Campus. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Michael Woroniewicz, pastor of the church. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee.
