Obituary of Marjorie Burnett

Marjorie Elaine Burnett, 69, of Petersburg, Michigan passed away at 8:22 P.M., Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Magnum Healthcare in Adrian. She had been under her husband’s care and that of hospice. She had spent 45 days in Heartland Holly Glen before going to Magnum Healthcare. She was born in Petersburg, Michigan September 7, 1941 to Phillip and Edith (Spaulding) Gee. She married Robert C. Burnett August 11, 1962 at the Deerfield Methodist Church. She was a lifetime resident of Petersburg and had attended Summerfield Schools. She had also worked at the Purolator Company in Petersburg for ten years. Her survivors include her husband Robert; two living brothers Marvin Gee of Petersburg and Phillip Gee of Palmyra. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Leona Prielipp and brothers Leon and Elroy Gee. Friends may call on Tuesday from 1 – 8 P.M. at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Summerfield Township.
