Obituary of Orville H. Paul
Orville Henry Paul, age 69, of Dundee, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 surrounded by his family under the care of Heartland Hospice. Orville was born in Knoxville, Tennessee July 21, 1941 to Willis and Lola Mae (Herrel) Paul. He married Una V. Cupp on April 1, 1961 in Knoxville. She survives. He was employed at the GM Hydramatic Plant in Toledo until taking a medical retirement in 1995. He was also a union committeeman there who always stood up for the underdog and those men and women he was responsible for. He also loved gardening and working in his yard and was a devoted and faithful follower of the Tennessee Volunteers Football team making his favorite colors orange and white. His survivors include his wife Una, a son Orville Jr. (Maria) of Adrian, a daughter Lisa (Robert) Baker of Dundee; grandchildren Aaron Paul, Andy Lickfelt, Kayla Kerr, Chanel Paul, Una Paul and Kristofer Paul; great-grandchildren Johnathan Paul, Jeyna Paul and Destiny Paul; brother Leonard Paul of Knoxville and sister Helen Peck also of Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Johnny Ferguson and a sister Jane Newman. Friends may call on Thursday from 1 – 8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156) Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. James Barnes, pastor of the Dunbar Road Church of Christ. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Dundee.
