Obituary of Edwin L. Nolan

Edwin L. (Ted) Nolan, 64, of Dundee, Michigan passed away at his home on Sunday, August 21, 2016 under the care of his family and Arbor Hospice.. He was born in Toledo, Ohio April 28, 1952 the son of Donald and Rose (Cooley) Nolan. He graduating from Dundee High School in 1970 and started working for the General Motors Hydramatic Plant in Toledo soon after. He worked there for 40 years before retiring. He married the former Shannon McDonnell on February 6, 1971 at the Dundee United Methodist Church. He was a family oriented man and watched the Detroit Lions through good and bad. Friends may call on Tuesday from 12-3 and 5 – 8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). His funeral will be 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home, August 24, 2016. Ted is survived by his wife Shannon: daughter Jennifer Nolan Frank of Dundee; son Scott (Sharon) Nolan of Dundee; grandchildren Paige Nolan, Jonathan Frank, Danielle Frank, Jessica Frank, Joshua Nolan and Victoria Nolan; his mother Rose McDonnell of New Hampshire; sisters Sandy (Richard) Engle of Missouri, Nancy (Gary) Schreiner of Arkansas and Debby (Dean) Adams of New Hampshire; brother Michael (Valerie) Nolan of Maybee; half brothers Allen (Marcy) McDonnell of Ohio and Keith McDonnell of Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his father.
