Stanley M. Secor, age 85, of Petersburg, Michigan passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Kingston Care Center in Sylvania, Ohio under the care of his family. He was born November 12, 1929 to John and Anna (Kuda) Secor. He married Jeanette Austin August 25, 1951 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Deerfield, Michigan. They have been married for 63 years. Stan had farmed for over 40 years and was also employed at Tecumseh Products Co. in Tecumseh for 46 ½ years. Prior to working at Tecumseh Products he worked for the Willy’s Jeep Corp in Toledo. He loved hunting, fishing, woodcutting, gardening, making crafts, canning, morel hunting, taking care of his flowers, his garden and especially tinkering. His survivors include his wife Jeanette; daughter Linda Secor of Deerfield; sons Louis (Vicky) Secor of Palmyra, Larry (Cathy) Secor of Petersburg, Tracy (Keri) Secor of Petersburg and Terry (Rhonda) Secor of San Juan Bautista, CA: 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother Joseph (Jean) Secor of Dundee. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Rose Rogacki, brother John Secor and 2 infant siblings. Friends and family may call Friday from 1 – 8 PM at Cover Funeral Home in Dundee (734-529-3156) . He will lie in state on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 10 AM until services at 11 AM at the Dundee United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Douglas Olsen.
