Obituary of Paul Eric Spaulding

Paul Spaulding , age 49 of Milan Township, formerly of Dundee, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids after suffering a serious heart attack at work on Monday. He was born in Tecumseh, Michigan September 13, 1962 the son of William G. and Naomi V. (Lewis) Spaulding. He married Stephanie L. Sloan September 4, 1999 at Calvary Baptist Church in Dundee. He loved spending time with his family and loved to hunt and fish. Paul attended Summerfield Schools and was employed at DRM, Downriver Maintenance Company. Prior to that he had worked for Ed Reaume in Milan and Saline Valley Agriculture. He is survived by his wife Stephanie; son Thomas Smith of Flat Rock; brothers Frederick Spaulding of Dundee, Steven (Judy) Spaulding of Petersburg, Jeffery (JoAn) Spaulding of Petersburg; sister Kathleen (Kevin) Zorn of Dundee; grandchildren Kyla Smith of Milan, William Russ of Dundee and Selena Smith of Milan. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sisters Karen Lee and Kay Lynn, and mother and father in law Lillian and Thomas Sloan. Friends and family will gather at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156) on Tuesday from 4 – 9 P.M. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Don Brown, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. Cremation will follow the services at Tri-County Crematory in Ypsilanti. A memorial lunch will follow the funeral home service at Calvary Baptist Church.
