Norita Elaine Suriano
April 15, 1959 - May 21, 2013
Norita Elaine Estill was born on April 15, 1959 in Delray, Michigan. She was the oldest of two daughters born to the union of the late Joseph Eugene Estill and the late Martha Marie (Rose) Estill. She attended Huron Schools graduating with the Class of 1977. Norita married Joseph R. Suriano.
For many years, Norita worked as a cashier for several local employers before spending seven years employed by Northwest Airlines as part of their stocking and cleaning crew. She truly loved her job and enjoyed the relationships she made with other fellow workers. Norita retired in 2008.
She was a Southern girl and moved to Florida and then Tennessee. She stayed in touch on Facebook, but soon returned to Michigan because the draw of family was too strong. Norita had a servant's heart and was understanding and forgiving. Spending time with family and friends was one of her favorite pastimes. She was a wonderful grandmother taking every opportunity to spoil all six of them whether playing games, doing movie nights, or going out to eat.
In early 2013, Norita knowing that she had found a new church home; had a reaffirmation of faith, being baptized and becoming a member of Victory Temple Church. She enjoyed the fellowship and love of her fellow congregants, and especially being filled with the Word.
Norita Elaine Suriano age 54 of Rockwood went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by a former spouse: Joseph.
To cherish her memory she leaves two children: Joseph (Kimberly) Estill of Monroe and Norita Suriano of Rockwood; one sister: Sharon (Joseph) Fazzio of Rockwood; her former mother-in-law: Caroline Thompson of Monroe; and six beautiful grandchildren: Autumn Rayne Stewart, Samantha, Joseph, Kyle, Mackenzie, and Kaelynn Estill.
Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 has been entrusted with her arrangements. Friends may gather from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Victory Temple Church of God, 832 South Roessler Street. A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 7:00pm with Reverend Alfred Whittaker pastor of the church officiating. Cremation will follow.
