Cherylynn Marguerite Boedicker was born in Monroe, Michigan on September 15, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Charles Boedicker and the late Selma (Moede) Boedicker. She attended Monroe High School and graduated with the Class of 1964. She married Thomas Graczyk at Trinity Lutheran Church in 1977.
Cherylynn was a graduate of the Toledo School of Practical Nursing obtaining her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. Later she completed the cosmetology program at the Michigan College of Beauty.
Cherylynn worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for more than twenty years retiring from the Huron Valley Correctional Institute in 2006. She had also been employed in the past by Mazda and the Lutheran Home.
Cherylynn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved to quilt, and was a devoted member of the Monroe County Quilt Guild. In the past she had served on the board of the Monroe Women's International Bowling Congress. She loved to visit the casino and her frequent companion was her father-in-law: Jim. First and foremost Cherylynn cherished her family, never missing a family get-together whether it was a wedding, party, or just dinner.
Cherylynn M. Graczyk age 65 of Monroe passed away at 6:20am, Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Lutheran Home. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by a nephew: Brett Beason.
To cherish her memory Cherylynn leaves her husband: Thomas of Monroe; two children: Jeremy (Cindy) Lagerman of Ypsilanti and Julie Venier of LaSalle; two sisters: Donna Beason of Monroe and Sheila (Mark) Wellman of New Boston; two grandchildren: Durke Venier and Cheyenne Lagerman; her father-in-law: Jim Graczyk of Monroe; two nieces: Rebecca Beason and Stephanie Wellman; and one nephew: Nicholas Wellman.
Friends may gather from 1:00pm until 8:00pm, Sunday, November 13, 2011 AT Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. She will lie-in-state from 10:00am until 11:00am, Monday, November 14, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 323 Scott Street. A Christian Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am with the Rev. Karl Fuhlbrigge visitation pastor for Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle for burial.
