Obituary of Ida Gustafson

Ida Belle Hay was born in Toledo on September 19, 1923 the daughter of the late Carey and Sophie (Monet) Hay. She attended Whitmer and Clay High School and also attended night school at Scott School for one year. For 34 years she was employed by Jeep in Toledo retiring in 1976. Ida loved bowling, knitting and crocheting; sharing with four generations and creating more than 100 beautiful afghans, baby clothes, and baby blankets. She also loved attending auctions and collecting antiques. Ida, 91 passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015. Her passing was preceded by her parents; a daughter: Carol Sue at birth; eight siblings: Alvie, Albert, Rosie, Violet, and Caroline Hay, Norman, Jeannine and Charlotte Koepke. Survivors include a multitude of nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends: Sherry Shertzer and Olga Rader. Memorial Service will take place on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 11:00am at Hopewell Wesleyan Christian Church, 1550 West Alexis Road, Toledo, Ohio with Reverend Craig officiating.
