Obituary of Nancy Kaye Strong

Please share a memory of Nancy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Nancy Kaye Strong was born November 12, 1933 in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of six children born from the union of her parents: the late Carl H. Strong and the late Emma P. (Roberts) Strong. She had a strong faith and received her spiritual nourishment by attending church at St. John the Baptist Church in Monroe where she has been a lifetime member.

Always enjoying the simpler things in life, Nancy liked bird-watching in the comfort of her home, watching movies, working on arts and crafts, embroidery, completing puzzles, playing board games and spending time with her beloved companions: her birds and dogs. She stayed active within the community and made many lasting friendships in the organizations she was in including: Frenchtown Senior Citizens and Monroe Center at Mable-Kehres.

She looked forward to spending time with her family during the holidays and on trips to Northern Michigan, Florida, New York, and the Gulf Coast of Alabama.  Nancy greatly enjoyed ever-so-often trips to local restaurants to eat out with her nieces and nephews. She loved angels and accumulated quite the collection she enjoyed displaying in her home.

Nancy had a loving and sweet personality who left a lasting impression on everyone she met. To know Nancy was to love her and she will be missed by many.
