Elizabeth Moore

Obituary of Elizabeth Jean Moore

Elizabeth Jean Lindsey was born on July 31, 1934 in Faxon, Tennessee. She was one of sixteen children born from the late Ellis Lindsey and the late Halie (Wheatley) Lindsey.

As a young girl, Jean moved to Michigan.   She married the love of her life, Robert Moore on April 11, 1964 in Melvindale.   Together they raised three children: Kenneth, Debra and Michael. Jean worked hard from home to care for her family. She prepared amazing meals to share and enjoyed baking goods often. A natural caretaker, Jean loved to help those around her and she was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Watching her children and grandchildren’s events were among her favorite things. She would always look forward to holidays with family, especially thanksgiving and Christmas.

Jean was very creative and loved being outdoors tending to her gardens. She had a passion for ceramics and making something beautiful out of nothing. An avid reader, she spent time catching up on the latest novels. Jean loved taking trips up north to visit family.

Jean, age 84, of Romulus passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Regency Health Care Center in Taylor. Her beloved family was at her side while under the care of Season’s Hospice. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by her beloved husband Robert; a son: Kenneth Ray Parker; four brothers: Carl, Junior, Paul and Arthur Lindsey: and seven sisters: Mary, Ruth, Ruby, Lucille, Francis, Betty and Edith.
